CLIMATE ACTION. RESULTS

Here is the result of taking part in international project. We have planted 36 fir-trees.

International Project "Climate Action"

Pupils of 6 B and 6 C are taking part in another international project on sustainable development. 
Here is the description of the project (from its page https://www.climate-action.info/):
Imagine a world in which youngsters across 6 continents connect virtually and solve one of the world's most pressing challenges: Climate Change. In October students aged 6-22 will collaborate on climate change topics over the course of four exciting weeks: they will study causes and effects, will try to solve issues and take action. Their and societies' mindsets will be changed.
This project is supported by HH Dalai Lama, UN Foundation, Dr. Jane Goodall and world leaders. During the past years it was featured by National Geographic, BBC and 40 more national media.

No.More.Plastic

Pupils of the forms 5 B and 5 C have finished taking part in the international project. During the last two weeks we were looking for the ways to solve the problem and doing actions. Our findings are in the videos.

No.More.Plastic

Pupils of the fifth form decided to take part in international project "No.More.Plastic". This student-centered project is the perfect introduction to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It is focused not only on some of the most important global challenges, but also develops such increasingly needed skills as creativity, complex problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration and empathy.

During the first week we were exploring, brainstorming and sharing our findings about what single-use plastic, plastic soup and microplastics are.

The webinar "The Value of Gamification for Language Learning" (Cambridge Assessment English) provided me with information about the difference between game and gamification. I also got to know about three digital tools possible to be used with different age groups of learners. One of them, Class Dojo, helps students to build good behaviour. 

MAKING NEW YEAR CARDS

Pupils of forms 3 B, 5 B and 5 C have made beautiful New Year cards. Children were really happy creating the cards!

Project "HEALTHY FOOD"

Pupils of the 5 B and 5 C forms presented their projects about healthy food. Now they know where they can find vitamins and minerals, what food is junk and what rules of healthy eating are.
